The primary responsibilities of the Security Analyst role include cyber threat analysis, information security assessments, penetration testing and vulnerability assessments. Communication within this role is critical both internally and externally to ensure an outstanding customer experience and internal team alignment for technical vision.  

All professional service positions are expected to drive revenue and customer satisfaction through up-to-date communication, accurate time keeping, clear documentation and overall issue resolution. 

Essential Duties 

Dedication to Customers

  • Perform vulnerability assessments against client networks both internal and external
  • Execute penetration testing against customers networks both internal and external
  • Assess customer information security readiness in the form of S2ORG assessments
  • Provide customer guidance on information security related questions in the form of reports and/or presentations
  • Deliver timely and thorough reports for customers
  • Partner with other teams within NCI to discuss cyber security trends and changes
  • Take part in Incident Response team as a technical resource to assist in identification, mitigation, and recovery efforts

Responsible Innovation


  • Identify new technologies that will enhance our Information Security solutions
  • Provide feedback and help refine departmental procedures
  • Assist with building security strategy both internally and for customers
  • Assist with root cause identifications for bugs\issues to drive sustainable solutions

Commitment to Employees

  • Mentor new and less experienced employees on relevant security technologies and topics 
  • Assist with CVScan reviews and work across teams should anything need to be escalated
  • Leads technical guidance with sales team to educate customers regarding ROI of technical solutions
  • Demonstrates flexibility in daily work approach

Role Requirements

  • 2-4 years of Information or Cyber Security related experience
  • 1+ years in technology consulting
  • Information security related certifications

Measurable Success/Tracking 

  • Customer CSAT Score above 92% 
  • Achieve billable rate target of 80%
  • On time project deliverables\milestones
  • Complete work within budget expectations
